Bowl-Mor Streator is actively hiring part-time Front of House Team Members.

This is a cross-trained, all-in-one role. Team members are responsible for running the front desk, placing guests on lanes, booking parties and events, handling cash, cooking food, making drinks at the bar, and assisting with general cleaning and portering duties.

This position is fast-paced and hands-on. Team members are expected to stay engaged, work efficiently, and help keep operations moving smoothly.

Part-time only. Most team members work 1–3 shifts per week, primarily nights and weekends.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Illinois BASSET certification (required prior to employment or within 14 days of hire)

  • Illinois Food Handler certification (required prior to employment or within 14 days of hire)

  • Reliable transportation to and from work
    (Bowl-Mor is not a valet or transportation service)

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable performing multiple roles during a single shift

Kitchen Team Member (Cross-Trained)

Position Overview

Our Kitchen Team Members are much more than cooks—they are cross-trained hospitality professionals responsible for every aspect of kitchen operations while supporting the overall success of the center.

This position is responsible for food preparation, cooking, expediting, dishwashing, inventory, receiving deliveries, food safety, sanitation, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. Team members are also expected to assist the front-of-house operation whenever business needs require, including running food, assisting guests, supporting parties and events, and helping maintain an exceptional guest experience.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on position for individuals who enjoy staying busy, working efficiently, and taking pride in producing quality food while supporting their teammates.

Essential Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to company recipes and standards

  • Maintain food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation

  • Monitor ticket times and maintain an efficient kitchen workflow

  • Complete daily food preparation assignments

  • Receive deliveries and verify product quality and accuracy

  • Properly label, date, rotate, and store inventory

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Food Safety & Sanitation

  • Follow all Illinois Department of Public Health regulations

  • Maintain proper food temperatures and storage procedures

  • Practice proper food allergen awareness and cross-contamination prevention

  • Clean and sanitize equipment, prep stations, utensils, floors, coolers, and storage areas

  • Complete all opening, shift, and closing cleaning responsibilities

Team Support

  • Run food to guests and party areas

  • Assist with party and event food service

  • Support the front desk and hospitality team during peak business periods

  • Maintain communication with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service

  • Assist other departments whenever operational needs require

 

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Previous restaurant, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred

  • Illinois Food Handler Certification (required prior to employment or within 14 days of hire)

  • Reliable transportation to and from work

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Hospitality Team Member

At Bowl-Mor Streator, we believe every guest deserves an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through our doors until they leave. Our Hospitality Team Members are cross-trained professionals who help create that experience by supporting multiple areas of the business.

This is not a position where you'll spend your entire shift doing one task. Every team member is trained to assist throughout the center, including the front desk, kitchen, bar, dining areas, parties, and general facility operations.

Essential Responsibilities

Guest Services

  • Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude

  • Check guests in and assign bowling lanes

  • Answer phones and assist guests with questions

  • Book parties, events, and lane reservations

  • Assist guests with basic bowling information

  • Resolve guest concerns professionally

Cash Handling

  • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately

  • Balance sales according to company cash handling procedures

  • Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system

Food & Beverage

  • Prepare menu items following company recipes and standards

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

  • Verify identification and comply with Illinois alcohol service laws

  • Deliver food and beverages to guests

  • Maintain clean kitchen and bar work areas

Facility Operations

  • Assist with party setup and cleanup

  • Bus tables and clean guest areas

  • Restock supplies throughout the facility

  • Complete opening, shift, and closing duties

  • Perform porter and general cleaning responsibilities

  • Report maintenance or lane issues to management

 

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Illinois BASSET Certification (prior to employment or within 14 days of hire)

  • Illinois Food Handler Certification (prior to employment or within 14 days of hire)

  • Reliable transportation to and from work

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience

  • Experience handling cash and operating POS systems
